Meet-up to Discuss Presentation

So  we are going to meet up this Saturday (13th April 2013), at 2.30pm and on Sunday at 9am. During this time we will prepare our speech and complete our blog. Everyone's presence is appereciated.

We will also hold discussions on the internet. During lessons, we will also try to edit our speeches and disucss about our results.

·      Don’t trust Chinese herbs.
·      TCM is not a pure substance; western medicine has been purified and synthesized.

Yes:
·      Most TCM practitioners I have seen are good.
·      I did my own research.
·      They are certified and trained professionals.
·      My grandparents trust them.

·      They could be fake.
·      They are not certified.
·      They have strange certifications.
·      TCM is not substantiated although it has a long history.
·      Unlicensed.

·      I trust them only if they are from reputable TCM clinics.
·      I trust them if they are old because if they are old they are more experienced.

Yes:
·      TCM fewer side effects, I won’t feel sleepy.
·      TCM using natural ingredients.

No:
·      TCM only for long-term illness.
·      TCM takes a long time to cure illnesses.
·      This is a stereotyped perception.
·      Western drugs use better technology.


Abstained:
·      Depends on the disease.
·      Both methods work equally well.
·      Western medicine works better for immediate effect, if do not require immediate effect, TCM works better.
·      TCM effective for orthopedic issues, Western medicine effective for chronic illnesses.
·      Western drugs verify safety and efficacy, TCM based on history.

Yes:
·      If the TCM Practitioner says it is safe, it is OK.
·      Both medicines complement each other.
·      As long as there is a reasonable time gap between taking the two types of medicine of 2 to 3 hours.
·      Now hospitals use both western medicine and TCM.
·      TCM is holistic and treats the problem instead of just symptoms.
·       

No:
·      Only if the western doctor says it is ok.
·      I trust the Western doctor more.
·      TCM Practitioners do not know much about Western medicine.
·      Dangerous reactions and side effects.
·      Allergic reaction
·      People say that it is not safe.


Abstained:
·      Depends on how much you trust the TCM Practitioner.
