Survey on Alternative Medicine (TCM)

Please tick either “Yes” or “No” in the boxes for each of the following questions.

1.    Do you know what is Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)?

2.    Have you ever used TCM before?

3.    Do you trust TCM and TCM practitioners? Why or why not?

4.    Do you think that TCM works better than modern Western drugs in curing aliments and diseases? Please provide reasons for your answer in Question 4.

5.    Do you think that western doctors should learn about and be experts in TCM too?

6.    I think that TCM is more holistic than Western medicine.

7.    I think that TCM is cheaper than Western medicine.

8.    I think on the whole TCM uses more natural ingredients than Western medicine and therefore is safer to use.

9.    I think that there is enough evidence to support that TCM is safe to use.

10. I find it acceptable to treat myself with western medicine and TCM at the same time, provided the TCM practitioner says that it is safe to do so. Please provide reasons for your answer in Question 10.
